Publication Ethics

The Journal of Al-Mayadine Al-Iktissadia (JMI) publishes scientific articles, aiming to provide high quality readership by adhering to the principles of publishing code of ethics and preventing malpractice.

The Code of Ethics is published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

and is the guiding basis for authors, researchers and other stakeholders in publishing articles with referees, consultants, editors and publishers. The journal seeks to develop uniform standards of conduct; therefore, it is fully committed to ensure that they are implemented with the acceptance of responsibility and the fulfillment of the duties and responsibilities of each party.

First: Publisher’s Responsibility

Publishing Decision: The publisher is responsible for the published decision which is based on the journal policy and compliance with the legal requirements for publishing, especially regarding defamation, slander or violation of others rights. Copyright, printing or piracy. The editor can also consult editorial board or reviewers.

Integrity: The editor ensures that the content of each article is evaluated, regardless of gender, origin, religious belief, citizenship, or political affiliation of the author.

Confidentiality: The information concerning the should be highly confidential and maintained by all persons who can view them, such as the editor, members of the editorial board, any member involved in the editing, publishing, and other parties entrusted to the peer-review process.

Expressive agreement: The results of others' research on non-publishable articles cannot be used without authorization or written permission of the author.

Second:The reviewer's responsibility

Contributing to the publishing decision: The reviewer helps the editor and the editorial board to take the decision of publishing and helps the author in improving the article and make require corrections if needed.

Speed of service and adherence to deadlines: The reviewer must initiate and expedite the evaluation of the article addressed to him within the deadlines. If this is not possible after conducting the preliminary study of the article, he must inform the editor that the subject matter is outside the reviewer's scope of work or ask to delay peer review due to lack of time or insufficient resources for peer review.

Confidentiality: All information of the article must be confidential to reviewer; he shall seek to preserve its confidentiality and cannot disclose or discuss its content with any party other than those authorized by the editor.

Objectivity: The reviewer must prove his review and evaluate the research directed to him by arguments and objective evidence, and avoid peer review based on his personal, racial, sectarian or other opinion.

Select sources: The reviewer shall attempt to identify sources and references relating to the subject which the author has not marginalized, and mention that any text or paragraph taken from other previously published works must be properly marginalized. The reviewer shall inform the editor and warn him of any similar, or overlapping work under his peer review.

Conflict of interest: The reviewer shall not review the articles for personal purposes; therefore, he should not accept the peer review of articles where there is an interest of persons or institutions or where personal relations are observed.

Third:Responsibility of the author

Preparation criteria: The author must submit an original research and display it accurately and objectively, in a consistent scientific manner that matches the specifications of the articles in terms of language, form or content, according to the journal standards and policy of publication.  He must respect the rights of others in the article; avoiding showing sensitive, immoral, tasteful, personal, ethnic, sectarian, counterfeit and inaccurate information and translating the work of others without mentioning the source of the quote in the article.

Originality and Piracy: The author must prove the originality of his work and any quotation, paragraphs or words of others used, must be properly and correctly marginalized. The Journal of Journal of Al-Mayadine Al-Iktissadia (JMI) reserves the right to use piracy detection programs for works that is submitted for publication.

Republish: The author cannot submit the same work (article) to different journals or conferences, and doing so is considered immoral and unacceptable.

Access and retention of data: The author must retain the private data used in his article and submit it upon request by the editor or the reviewer.

Disclosure: The author shall disclose any conflict of interest, financial or others, which may affect the results of his research and its interpretation. The source of all financial support shall be disclosed for the article.

Authors of the article: The author should be limited to these contributors only, in terms of design, implementation and interpretation, with one author responsible for the article, who plays a major role in the article preparation and planning. The rest of the authors should also be mentioned in the article they must insure that names and information of all the authors exist, and that no other names are included in the article; all authors should be well informed about the article, agree explicitly on what is contained in it, and published in the desired format according to the publishing rules .

Referrals and references: The author is obliged to mention the references appropriately in the list of referrals and references, and the referral must include all the books, publications, websites and other research, quoted or reference in the text of the article.

Reporting errors: The author should alert and discover the existence of a fundamental error and inaccuracies in his article at any time, immediately he must inform the editor of the magazine or publisher, and cooperate with them to correct the error.

All material contained in this site is copyrighted and may not be reproduced. The publisher owns copyright to all material published on the Journal of Al-Mayadine Al-Iktissadia (JMI).

The following guidelines apply to all users of the magazine's website:

  1. Individuals may not share their username or password without the publisher's permission.
  2. Individuals may view, download, print or save the content of the Journal for research and teaching purposes.
  3. Any use and/or copy of this publication in whole or in part, should include the usual bibliographic citation, including the author's reference, history, article title, journal title and website address.

Disclaimer: Changes in publications can be made at any time, if necessary.

Privacy Statement: The names and e-mail addresses entered in the journal's website are used exclusively for the purposes of this publication and will not be made available for any other purpose or for any other party.

Fees and charges: The Journal of Al-Mayadine Al-Iktissadia (JMI) is non-commercial and does not impose fees on the peer-review, acceptance of publication or printing.

When an article is accepted, copyright is automatically transferred to the Journal of Al-Mayadine Al-Iktissadia (JMI).

Open Access: All articles published by the Journal of Al-Mayadine Al-Iktissadia (JMI) are freely and permanently accessed online immediately upon publication, without hindrance, including the full text of existing research papers, in accordance with the principle that "Making research freely available to public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge."
